Answers to common questions.
How does pay‑per‑page sending work?
One credit sends one page. Credits are consumable purchases through Apple's In‑App Purchase — page packs run from $0.99 for 2 pages up to $12.99 for 50, and credits never expire. A single fax can carry up to 25 pages (50 with a subscription).
Credits are redeemed when our backend accepts the job for transmission, not when the fax is delivered. Telephone carriers charge per call attempt, not per delivery — so a fax that fails after acceptance (wrong number, busy line, no answer) has spent its credits. That mirrors what the phone network charges us.
How do I get my own fax number?
Subscribing gives you a dedicated fax number for receiving, with a monthly incoming‑page allowance that grows with the plan:
- Starter — $4.99/month or $49.99/year
- Standard — $9.99/month or $99.99/year
- Pro — $19.99/month or $199.99/year
Incoming faxes land in the app, push you a notification the moment they arrive, and can optionally forward to your email. Subscribe from the Credit Store or Settings tab in the app.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On your iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → myFaxxer. Cancel any time — cancellation stops future renewals while the current period runs out. If a plan lapses, your fax number is held for 30 days before it is released and may be reassigned.
How do refunds work?
All purchases and subscriptions are billed by Apple, so refunds are handled exclusively through Apple's App Store refund process — the developer cannot issue them directly. If something went wrong, email us and we'll help you sort out what to tell Apple.
How long is my data kept?
Fax content is deleted from our backend within 24 hours of a terminal status (delivered, failed, or canceled). Job metadata — recipient number, page count, cost, status — is kept up to 90 days so your history works and support requests can be answered. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Can I use myFaxxer for medical or other regulated records?
No. myFaxxer is strictly not for protected health information or any data governed by HIPAA, PHIPA, GDPR, or similar frameworks — including faxes you receive. See the Terms of Use.
